Hello, Class of 2025!

Welcome to this exciting chapter of your life!
Let's kick off your last year of high school with an awesome senior portrait experience!
My #1 goal is to create a comfortable and collaborative environment, where each of you is celebrated and your unique essence is perfectly captured in every frame. From concept and styling to the actual photoshoot and beyond, consider me your guide and partner in this journey.

Why Chose The Art of Life
to Capture Your Senior Portraits?

01

I believe each Senior is UNIQUE.

I don't want to just take a pretty picture. I want to CAPTURE YOU! That's why I get to know each client through a questionnaire and consultation before our session. This allows me to craft portraits that truly represent who you are. It also helps you get to know me, so when it comes to the day of our photoshoot you can relax and feel comfortable to let your natural self shine!

02

I believe in OPTIONS.

Part of capturing exactly who you are is giving you the freedom to express yourself! That's why I believe in offering endless options! Be it locations, outfits, or ideas, I want you to give you every opportunity to showcase yourself. The sky is the limit when it comes to you & your session, so I allow for unlimited outfit changes with my full & deluxe packages and will go wherever YOU want to capture your photos!

03

I believe in offering Archival Quality Products.

04

I believe in COLLABORATION.

I believe in a “team” approach to photography. Yes, I am the one with the camera, but YOU are the one in the frame! I believe the best photos are the ones that authentically reflect your personality, the things you love, and who you are at this pivotal moment in your life! My goal is to make sure that your true self shines in each photo.

05

I believe in LOYALTY.

I believe the highest compliment I can receive is repeat business. That's why I reward clients who trust me to capture their precious memories time & again by offering a loyalty discount to those who have worked with me in the past.

Location, Location, Location!

One of the most common questions I get asked is WHERE should I do my Senior Portraits.

Fortunately for you, the answer is easy...it's completely YOUR CHOICE!

I have tons of great suggestions to get you thinking based on the particular aesthetic that speaks to you and your vibe.  From natural beauty, to urban textures, bold backgrounds, and rustic feels, whatever you want, we can find!

What to Wear?

Another common question that Seniors ask is, "What should I wear?"

While the answer to this can be a bit complicated, there are two main things to consider:

#1. Is it comfortable?

#2. Does it make me look & feel AWESOME?

If the outfit makes you answer YES to both of these, you've likely got a winner!

Read on for a few more tips, as well as some great samples.

  1. Pick a Palette
Begin by selecting 2-3 core colors to guide your choices. Consider going with neutral earth tones that enhance your appearance, and add a pop of color with your accessories!

     2. Accessorize!
Adding bangles, long necklaces, statement                 pieces, scarves, hats, vibrant shoes, and other               accents can elevate your outfit.
     3. Layering
Layering sweaters & jackets over your outfits               brings depth & diversity to your ensemble,                   which enriches your images and can open up                 the opportunity for more posing options.
     4. Dress for the location
Consider the session location when choosing                  your outfits! It would look silly to wear hiking              boots at the beach, right? So, keep your                        surroundings in mind, when deciding what to              wear. And remember to opt for clothing that                complements your environment.

Questions?

An important part of picking the right photographer is knowing how the experience will go ahead of time so you can show up relaxed and ready to shine! So, in the spirit of helping guide you, here are the answers few of the most common questions I receive!

Are touch-ups included?

YES! Light, natural touch-ups for blemishes are always included in the cost of your session.

What if there's bad weather?

I monitor the weather closely the week before your session. If bad weather looms, we'll discuss plans a few days prior. We'll usually reschedule if there's a 80% chance of rain or strong winds.

When will I get my photos?

Expect a turnaround of 2-3 weeks. You'll receive a link via email to a password-protected digital gallery.

How do I pose?

Don't worry about posing perfectly! I'll guide you through poses that are flattering and natural. Feel free to relax and trust that I'll make sure you look your best.

Can I include my pet?

Absolutely! I love it when pets tag along for the session! Just be sure to let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly.

Is professional hair & makeup recommended?

While not mandatory, professional hair and makeup can enhance your look and provide a polished finish to your photos. It's recommended if it fits within your budget.

"Miranda was an absolute pleasure to work with for my son's senior pictures. She somehow managed to be enthusiastic while also being relaxed enough to make my son comfortable and at ease with the process. We are thrilled with the photos and look forward to booking future sessions with her."
